6 tablespoons butter
1 10.5 oz package of Campfire® Mini Marshmallows
7 cups crisped rice cereal
1/3 cup Cheesecake instant pudding mix, dry
For the Topping
1 box Cheesecake instant pudding mix
2 cups milk
whipped topping
cherry pie filling
Line a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with foil and lightly spray with nonstick cooking spray
In large pan, over low heat, melt butter slowly stirring in dry pudding mix until dissolved. Add marshmallows, stirring gently, until smooth.
Remove from heat. Mix in cereal, stirring until evenly coated.
Press gently into pan and let cool.
Using a biscuit cutter or another circular object, cut out rounded sections of the cereal treats. You can also simply cut them into squares.
For the Topping
In a large mixing bowl, prepare pudding with milk per the instructions on the box
Let set briefly in the refrigerator, I’d recommend 2-3 minutes
Add a few heaping spoonfuls of whipped topping to the pudding, folding gently until combined and creamy. (you can use as much or as little of the whipped topping as you’d like!)
Spoon a dollop of the pudding mixture onto each of the cereal treats and top with cherries!
Any fruit or pie filling can be used, but I especially love cherry!
